MATCH IT - WHERE DOES IT GROW ?

An engaging matching activity where children connect fruits and vegetables to the plants or trees they grow on. This activity builds real-world awareness, logical thinking, and early science concepts while strengthening observation and reasoning skills through interactive play.

Age Group:

3 to 6 years

Pack Includes:

• 15 Cards with images of variety of fruits/vegetables (A7 Size).
• 15 Cards with images of corresponding plants/trees where each fruit/vegetable grows (A7 Size).

How to play:

• Child needs to identify the fruit/vegetable and match it to the corresponding card with the image of the plant/tree where it grows.

• Discuss the match with prompts like:

  • What is this fruit/vegetable?
  • Where does it grow?
  • Have you seen this plant before?

Game Extensions:

• Sort items into fruits vs vegetables.
• Categorise by how they grow (tree, plant, underground, vine).
  
• Memory matching game with face-down cards.
