LANGUAGE - BUILD A WORD - 3 LETTERS

A foundational phonics activity designed to help children blend sounds and form simple CVC words. Through hands-on play with letters and images, children begin their reading journey by connecting sounds to symbols and building meaningful words.

Age Group:

4 to 7 years

• 16 Mats with 3 images each (A5 Size)
• Loose Image Cards of 3-letter words
• Wooden Alphabet Pieces
  

How to play:

• The child observes the images on a mat and identifies each object.
• For each image, the child recognizes the sounds in the word and selects the correct alphabet pieces.
• Once the child completes placing all the 3 alphabets, the child needs to read the word aloud.
• The child then finds the matching loose image card and places it in the space on the mat to complete the activity.

Game Extensions:

• Mix and rearrange letters to correct errors.
• Create simple oral sentences using formed words.
