PATTERN & SEQUENCE - TAKE MY SEAT

An engaging transport-themed activity where children recreate seating patterns on a double-decker bus. Using loose image pieces, children copy and arrange patterns from task cards, building sequencing, spatial awareness, and observation skills through interactive play.

4 to 7 years

Pack Includes:

• Mat with double-decker bus (A5 Size).
• 9 Pattern task cards (A6 Size).
• Loose images of various passengers.

How to play:

• The child selects a task card showing a seating pattern on the bus and observes the arrangement.
  
• The child then places the images onto the bus mat to match the exact pattern shown on the card.

Game Extensions:

• Memory challenge: view the card, flip it, and recreate the seating pattern.
• Encourage children to describe positions (e.g., “next to,” “above,” “behind”).
• Spot the mistake (adult creates an incorrect pattern)
