How to play:

• The child picks a number card and carefully observes the number.
• They break it into place values: hundreds, tens, and units.
• Using the ice cream cup, the child builds the number:
  • Add yellow scoops for hundreds
  • Add purple scoops for tens
  • Add cherries for units
• Example: For 324, the child adds:
  • 3 yellow scoops (300)
  • 2 purple scoops (20)
  • 4 cherries (4)
• For open-ended play, an adult can write any number on the blank cup, and the child recreates it using the scoops and cherries.
  

Game Extensions:

• Adult builds a number using scoops and cherries → Child identifies and writes the number.
  
• Timed challenge for quick number building.
• Compare two numbers (greater/smaller) using scoops.
