A fun, interactive language game designed to help children understand and use describing words (adjectives) in a meaningful way. Through visual association and word matching, children build vocabulary, improve observation, and strengthen expressive language skills.

How to play:

• This game can be played in two engaging ways:

  1. Image to Words

  • Place an image card on the display mat.
  • The child observes the image.
  • From the describing word cards, the child selects words that best describe the image (e.g., big, red, soft) and places them on the display mat.
    

  2. Words to Image

  • Place a few describing word cards on the display mat.
  • The child reads/observes the words.
  • The child identifies and selects the image card that best matches the given description.

Game Extensions:

• The child can form a complete sentence using the selected words and write it on the writing mat provided.
• Encourage children to add their own describing words beyond the given set.
• Play as a two-player game—take turns describing and guessing.
